What the Hamburg Foundation H.I.T stands for.
OUR GOALS AND TASKS:
PROJECT: “SAVE CHILDREN´S SIGHT – FOR A BETTER CHANCE IN LIFE“
Approximately 15 – 20% of all children have impaired eyesight that affects their learning ability. Therefore we train, dispatch and accompany eyesight testing teams who test children’s sight in schools and kindergartens around the world. Children who can’t afford eyeglasses are provided with these free of charge through our foundation. The teachers in these schools are trained and equipped to carry out these screening tests. Through the establishment of an international network of specialists and the training of teachers, educators and healthcare providers, we are raising the awareness of the necessity of early recognition and and treatment of eyesight impairment in children and adolescents. Good eyesight is an essential element of successful learning.
PROJECT: “TRAIN VISION AND BRAIN – SEE THE WORLD”
We support traumatized and disadvantaged children and adolescents in the development of their cultural and educational abilities.
PROJECT: “AMBLYOCATION”
Our aim is to improve the provision of care for people internationally with neurosensory processing and perception impairment, weaknesses in eyesight and risk of blindness through the direct support of those affected, the development of therapeutic programs, local projects and the awarding of academic grants.
PROJECT: “SAIL A VISION INTO THE WORLD”
We promote the development of a humanistic, liberal-democratic, future and peace-oriented value awareness in young people. In professionally moderated inter-cultural “future workshops”, young people learn, in collaboration with opinion leaders from politics, the economy, the church and media, to recognize values such as democracy, inter-cultural dialogue, equality and environmental sustainability.
With your help we can rapidly expand these projects, build networks and develop internationally.
We look forward to your support!
